MYSTIC NILE - The Egyptian Collection - SCARAB The Scarab is an Egyptian symbol for the sun. The scarab (or “dung beetle”) gathers a ball of dung, and pushes it through the desert to its nest, where it is eaten by its young, after the eggs have hatched. The Egyptians believed that the sun moved through the sky by being pushed by a beetle.

For them, the beetle. was associated with the Sun God, Ra. Pendants come on Legend Cards with a 33 inch long black cord. Fine Lead Free Pewter. Packaged on Recycled paper cards.
