WB Eco Printed Journals
Woodstock Bookstock
Eco printing is a natural dying process that uses leaves and transfers their image onto paper or cloth. The version I do adds iron to tannic leafs; the iron reacts to the tannins and turns it into a dye which makes the images darker. To transfer the image the prints are pressed and steamed which also results in the vein structure being embossed in the paper. I fill each journal with 5 sheets of card stock, resulting in 20 pages. They are then hand sown with various colors of waxed linen.
